Entitlement Card
A card issued by Identità Malta that gives Single Permit holders access to free public healthcare in Malta.
The Entitlement Card is issued by Identità Malta to third-country nationals who hold a valid residence permit. It grants access to Malta's free public healthcare system, including GP visits at government health centres and treatment at Mater Dei Hospital.
Apply for the Entitlement Card as soon as you receive your residence permit. Processing takes approximately 2–4 weeks. Without it, you may be charged for public healthcare services. Keep your travel insurance active until the card arrives.
