30 days to stay in Malta and find new work after your employment ends, extendable to 60 if you can show you can support yourself. Since 1 August 2025.
Most people are told they have days. They have weeks, and a legal route to more. The catch nobody explains: the extension is not automatic, and the application is filed by your new employer, not by you.
