Employer Sponsorship
The requirement that a licensed Maltese employer must sponsor and submit the Single Permit application on your behalf.
In Malta, third-country nationals cannot apply for a Single Permit on their own. An employer with a valid employment licence from Jobsplus must sponsor the application and submit it to Identità Malta.
This means you need a confirmed job offer from a licensed employer before the permit process can begin. The employer handles the application submission and is responsible for ensuring all required documents are provided. If you change employers, the new employer must submit a fresh application.
