Change of Employer
The process required when a Single Permit holder wants to switch to a different employer in Malta.
A Single Permit is tied to a specific employer. If you want to work for a different company, your new employer must submit a fresh Single Permit application to Identità Malta — you cannot change employers informally.
Working for a different employer than the one on your permit — even temporarily — is a serious violation that can result in permit cancellation and future application bans. The change of employer process currently involves the same application workflow as a new Single Permit.
