Find and Check Practical Information

Six short lessons. Check a page or message before you act on it.

For workers and other newcomers who want to check a page, a forwarded message or someone’s claim before acting on it.

Your path

  1. Who published this?

Identify who published a page or message, and whether that body is the one responsible for the decision.

  2. Check the date and the audience

Find when a page was published or updated, and who it is written for.

  3. Guidance or instruction?

Tell general explanation apart from a step you are directly told to do for your own case.

  4. Compare an old and a new version

Compare an older and a newer version, find what changed, and decide which applies by date and “replaces” notes.

  5. Ask the right question

Name exactly what is still unclear and choose the right body and wording for the question, without oversharing.

  6. Check it all together

Apply all the checks to a new, unfamiliar message and choose a safe next action.
